2015 Festival

The 5^th Annual Plein Air Camp Hill Competition and Arts Festival in Camp Hill, PA, will be held May 29-31, 2015, with the main festival day being Saturday, May 30^th. More info to come about this free family festival with activities and competitions for those of all ages and abilities.

Plein Air Vision, Mission and Case Statement

If you are new to this centuries old tradition, Plein Air is a French phrase "en plein air", it literally means 'in the open air'. And while painting out in the open air is a familiar concept today, in the late 1800's when the Impressionists ventured out of their studios into nature to investigate and capture the effects of sunlight during different times of day on a subject, it was quite a revolutionary idea.
