The Quick Draw Competition is a plein air painting competition, exhibit and sale, which takes place on Saturday, May 30th, 2015. This competition starts promptly at 10:00 am and ends at 12 noon. The artists must have their canvas stamped between 9:00 and 10:00 am at Camp Hill Borough's Prosser
Hall, 2145 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, prior to the start of the event. They will have two hours to paint and frame one plein air piece within a designated boundary in the core of Camp Hill. A map will be provided. At 12 noon, all artists bring their completed, framed artworks, along with their easels, to appointed area.

The geographic boundaries of the Quick Draw competition are the areas between 21st Street and 25th Street and from White Hall Alley (which runs parallel to Market Street) north to Walnut Street and including all of Willow Park.
Before the event begins, the Quick Draw artists may choose a location within the boundaries. At 10:00am on Saturday, May 30th, the artists begin to create en Plein Air! The artists must start with nothing pre-painted, pre-drawn or pre-sculpted, and create the Quick Draw artwork only during the Quick Draw time frame between 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Any violators will be banned from future events.
At 12:00 noon, the Quick Draw artists finish, and bring their just completed artworks and easels to 24th Street, where the exhibit and judging takes place adjacent to Willow Park. Prior to the exhibition, each painting must be framed or matted by the artist, for ease of handling.
All artists must arrive for the exhibit and judging by 12:30pm. Each artist must set up her/his easel on 24th Street, and display his/her Quick Draw work on it. Event staff is on site to answer artists’ questions, direct artists to the exhibit space and help artists set up their easels. Each artwork must be for sale, and have a title and price. A label (supplied) must be completed and attached to the easel. There will be a 30% commission collected from the proceeds of each Quick Draw sale, which is used to fund this event. Each participating artist must consider Plein Air her/his gallery for this event, and must pay this commission. Any violators will be banned from future events.
Beginning at 12:30pm on Saturday, the Quick Draw paintings were judged by the competition judge and awards are announced. Continuing Exhibit and Sales: The exhibit and sale continues on the street until 3:00pm. All paintings must stay on exhibit until 3:00pm.
All paintings and easels must be picked up promptly at 3:00pm. Plein Air Camp Hill staff is not responsible for any equipment or artworks left after 3:00pm.
