Artists from the Central PA and the surrounding region have painted picturesque scenes depicting Camp Hill and West Shore communities as well as scenery throughout the country. They selected their two best works that were judged in the Plein Air Art Competition. The Collector's Preview Party offered an opportunity to see the competition show and be one of the first to purchase paintings from this exhibition.

This prestigious juried competition is a project of the Economic and Cultural Development Group (ECDG) of Camp Hill, PA and culminated with generous awards presentations on Friday, May 16th and Saturday May 17th. The event was a three (3) day exhibition and sale of artworks and photographs at Gallery 2318 and other gallery locations on Market Street in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
The submissions were reviewed by a jury of experts. Photographers took photographs within the central Pennsylvania region from May 12 through May 16, 2014. The Central PA region is defined as Cumberland, Dauphin, York, Adams, Perry and Lancaster Counties and photographers turned in up to two completed, framed and ready to be hung works which were taken during our Plein Air Camp Hill 2014 event. All submitted photography work was available for sale.

The Quick Draw Competition is a plein air painting competition, exhibit and sale, which took place on Saturday, May 17th, 2013, in downtown Camp Hill. This event was open to any artist who wished to participate. Please note that the competition artists who won awards in the main competition were invited to paint, exhibit and sell in this event but were not eligible to win an award.

Any photographer was able to participate in the "Photography Quick Shoot" contest. Photographers were required to photograph within a designated area within the Borough of Camp Hill from 12:01pm Friday, May 16th until 12:00 noon Saturday, May 17th, 2014. All photographs were then printed, framed, and delivered for judging on Saturday, May 17th by 3:00pm. Photographers were required to provide a flash drive with proof of the time of their competition photo. Photographers were also be given a map of the area boundaries and required to designate their photographs location on the map and return it with their completed piece. The works were then displayed for judging.
Landscape Student Art Competition Winners

Student finalists had their artwork transformed into graphic flags displayed throughout the festival area in Camp Hill, displayed in a finalist art exhibition at the festival, and honored at a special awards ceremony. Monetary awards were given to the top two finalists, along with the professional framing of their artwork by Paper Lion Gallery. Some of the students’ winning art also was featured on the pre-recorded CD of the music three groups of students taught by classical, jazz and flamenco guitarist John Catalano and playing during the festival.
Children's Paint Out

The Children's Paint Out was open to artists between 5 and 12 years of age. There was no registration fee and each child received an award.
